At one point I had both the hats from the movie City Heat. The one Burt wore, and the one Clint had. You know, I have no idea what happened to them. Got them from the hat-supplier to the movie, tho.



Now it's a suede Indiana Jones among others. Also have a wool felt packer that looks at bit like Clint's. Pendleton, I think.

Would that hat-supplier have been Art Fawcett? He and his wife were in costuming, and hats were his specialty. Still are, except now we mere mortals can get them from him.

I actually think so. He had a shop on Newport Ave in Ocean Beach where I got my hats, and a shop on Ocean Front Walk in Venice Beach, where I first met him. A couple years later he 'hit it big' and closed the shops - he didn't need them anymore. I was still 'running with that crowd'.

Seems like it was him. He told me where the hats came from, and I had to have both.
