    College Football Final tonight

Alabama and Ohio State go after college football bragging rights tonight.
If the same Ohio State team that dismantled Clemson shows up tonight should be a good game.
There's a group that believes OSU shouldn't even be there due to number of games played but they beat everyone they played and a very good Northwestern team to get there. Its not there fault the plague showed up this year.
Alabama pretty much walked thru there season, coupla closer than expected games but won out.
So at the end of the day I'm going with the Crimson Tide over the Buckeyes.
    Hoping for a good game.

This season was different for football thanks to covid-19.
The Oregon Ducks went on the play for a team that could not make the playoffs and then went on to lose the Fiesta Bowl.
This reminds me of an old friend Abby, you know Abby Normal.

As a Michigan fan... this is basically a doomsday scenario (true worst case would be OSU vs Notre Dame). So I am rooting (begrudgingly) for Alabama. Will mainly be focused on my chicken wings and bourbon quite frankly

Well, watching OSU get thumped was satisfying. Now, hopefully my Detroit Lions can draft Just Fields or Devonta Smith

Let's not forget the OSU win in 2015 over 'Bama. I agree it should be a good game. Fresh off his Heisman win Devonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle are supposedly going to play. That's a tough duo to play against, OSU secondary better bring it.

        'Bama -3

Even if they just use Waddle as a decoy he's going to make a difference

Love Saban or hate him there's no arguing his success.
I have no problem with the guy.
Amazing how he can lose coaches and simply reload for the next year.
Sark at UT is going to take some recruiting and time, they've got to keep Texas recruits in state.

Congrats Tide, that's a dynasty hat shows no signs off slowing down.
Question is how long can Saban keep this up, I believe he is 71.
The Buckeyes showed Bama a thing or two themselves some of they're drives were things of beauty too.
Just didn't have enough of them.

The Buttguys ran out of steam. You could see it. They played a good first half and one series after the half. Then Alabama turned on its famed second half burst and that was it.

As good as they are, they met a team with superior depth. Watching Alabama defensive tackles harassing Fields deep in the 4th quarter was a thing of beauty.

Agreed Bama has a unique ability to make second half adjustments like no other.
They're defensive/offensive lines were the difference in the game.

I never tire of watching the Buckeyes lose. I was shocked that MI re-upped Harbaugh's contract. Maybe he will get his khaki's in gear and bring back some of the coaching swag he had at Stanford (OK, I know Stanford is a Pac 12 school, not the biggest of the big 5) and make us competitive again.

Well that was not much of a game in the second half. Alabama is just on another level. I was rooting for the Big Ten as I am an Iowa Alum. I am not one of those that hates Michigan and Ohio State because they are good. When those two teams are good it is good for the Big Ten, period. I always root for them when they have big games like this. Rooting for Alabama because Ohio State dominates the Big Ten and Iowa can't usually beat Ohio State just doesn't make sense to me. It only makes the Big Ten look worse if out perennial power house gets blown out. (Then we, rightfully so, have to listen to the SEC fans for another year)

I kinda knew how this one was gonna go. Sabian is a master of game control and with their depth, it's a machine like no other right now.

Boring game (I have no rooting interest for either team or conference). But then the CFP is a bad way to do college playoffs at only 4 teams and college football is utterly dependent on talent level. Saban is an outstanding coach, but the ability to lock up talent (he's been known to offer scholarships to 5 star athletes before they hit high school) just means the season has little meaning.

I get the desire to crown a champion, but I honestly thought college football was more interesting in the bowl era where going to one of the top 4 bowls was a prize. Now, who cares? For the last decade and a half it's been Alabama, Clemson, OSU.

Really good point, those three schools seem to attract the best talent, because the kids want to win not go 7-4 or 8-3 every year.
