    I'll be ...... it's a real clock

It amazes me how truly clueless or unobservant I can be. I just discovered that the clock icon on my phone and iPad is a working clock. I've looked at that so many times and never realized it was the correct time. Oh well getting old has some benefits. Reruns can entertain me for hours.

LOL, that's like me. People will say, "You know, where that building is off the highway." Me, "What building?"

Air-cooled VWs used four, wasn't uncommon to put in only three as one was hard to get to.

Oak Smoke Well would you look at that? Learn something new every day. Consider me old, as well!

See for me it’s the opposite.

My company fairly recently switched to using the Google calendar and unlike the iPhone calendar app, the Google calendar app doesn’t change, it always shows the number “31.” So since changing from Apple to Google calendar, pretty much every time I see the app I think “today is the 31st?” before remembering that the number doesn’t change.

Odd! the Google Calendar icon shows the correct date on my Android device. Same thing on Windows 7 PC.

I’ve been walking the same route to the pier every day and only yesterday noticed a bunch of citrus tree/dwarfs at a favorite house of mine. I stare at this property every time. Just noticed the citrus 8’ from my path. Literally right at the sidewalk. Weird.

Another good thing is you meet new people each day and they already know your name.

Isn't that amazing! How are things in Salado? One of the most influential people in my life was a coach there years ago.

Oak Smoke would that be Coach Haire? He was a tenant of mine for a couple years, good dude.

Lil' Salado is a tough village fighting for survival. It was a reasonably successful tourist destination, then a succession of events laid on some debilitating blows. I-35 construction that lasted a few years, limiting access to town, then a complete redo of Main St. by TexDot that took another year plus, coupled with sewer install, and then the restrictions imposed in the name of Covid all have hurt

It was Raymond Ezzell he took your girls basketball team to the state championship game in 1962. I didn't get to know him until years later when he was a successful business man. He always smiled when he talked about Salado. I believe he stayed in contact with several of the girls until his passing.
