    Puppy Picking Day!

Unfortunately we lost Kali a couple of months ago. She had been my fuzzy shadow for 14 years. I had assumed that my wife, who is not a dog person and really only tolerates them because she loves me so much, would be resistant to getting another dog for at least a year. Much to my surprise, Kali had apparently grown on her over the years a lot more than I had thought and she was the one that mentioned that we should contact Kali's breeder to see when they were going to have another litter from which we could reserve a puppy.
The litter was born on November 13th and are now 5 weeks old. Ann and I are off to the breeder's today to pick a puppy from the litter and I am super excited!

An exhausted mom, Sugar, and her littler.

    • Those are beautiful dogs! I don't see how you could go wrong with one of those puppies. Unfortunately we could never have one of those because Barbara is sensitive to the dander. Our Sadie, who is a small non-shedding dog, is getting old and frail. Barbara has started looking into getting a replacement. Congratulations on your soon-to-be new puppy!

Good on you and congratulations on the new addition. I'm in a similar situation. My oldest, Annie Oakley is on her way out, in fact the grave is dug and ready, it's just a matter of when I decide (or rather, Mrs. CN says) to put her down. Just last week I got her replacement, a cross of a couple of farm dogs, Grand Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepard. It's quite a pleasure having a puppy underfoot!

Sorry to hear about losing your beloved Kali. Looks like her memory will be living on. Loved our golden...except being a hunter they are a burr magnet!

Lost our Ruby beginning of October and my wife like yours tolerates dogs but Ruby had EVERYONES heart. But alas...unfortunately no more dogs for us. 😕

Congratulations! I understand the pain and loss when we lose our faithful companions and the hole in our lives when it happens. There is still something magical however when a new member comes to join the family and I wish you both years of forthcoming love and affection from the new one.

If you have a Weber Kettle, you need the Slow 'N' Sear

                        slow n sear
The Slow 'N' Sear turns your grill into a first class smoker and also creates an extremely hot sear zone you can use to create steakhouse steaks.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

                        the good one grill
The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

Griddle And Deep Fryer In One

                        Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker
The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all!

The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It is absolutely positively without a doubt the best bargain on a smoker in the world. Period. This baby will cook circles around the cheap offset sideways barrel smokers because temperature control is so much easier.
