It's not weather yet, but looks like we in Western Massachusetts will have a White Christmas

My snow thower is in the shop, needs a new carborator. Maybe tommorow Not too concerned, I have a plow guy does when I text him. He is lined up. Need the thrower for a few other areas, mailbox, path to propane feed. and walk out basement. This will be a cold storm with fluffy light snow. Well I was not wishing for a White Christmas but based on next weeks weather the snow is not going anywhere.

We're being told up to 2 feet tomorrow. Last year the snowblower never left the shed. This afternoon I had to move it to the front and move the riding mower further back.

Yes, I know you are, Mosca . You and the missus stay safe! It looks like they pushed back the start time here by a couple of hours this morning, but they're still predicting 12-20 inches.

I haven't had the snow blade on my lawn tractor in a couple of years now. It's hoping for a little winter action sometime this winter. The county doesn't plow my neighborhood very often at all, so it's pretty much DIY in my 'hood.

Growing up we had the same situation vis-a-vis the local govt not plowing us very well, or timely. Also, we lived in a community that was built into the side of a hill. My dad always had a 4WD with a snow plow and he would plow the whole community out.

I thought if a snowplow quits working, just hand her the shovel and tell her to get back to work?

We're expecting lake effect snow squalls to day.
Been really windy for the last couple of days so don't know if this will pile up or not.
Plus temps and rain for the weekend.

Actually it has been a mild fall into winter, we've had two snowfalls that were gone within days. Its just dropped below freezing this week and is supposed to warm up above on the weekend.
I've always said you want winter got to Buffalo, Minneapolis, or Madison!!!! They get winter here in Mississauga its merely an inconvenience.

Oh I know, only have to head up 40 mins to Hwy 9 into Barrie and the snow belt to find snow.
Don't know about the shovel but I may take you up on that Scotch thing one day.

We have no snow on the ground in southern Minnesota. It's just getting cold enough to snow. Unseasonably mild fall/winter. I'm sure snow will come soon enough.

Looks like time for hot coffee and a shot of Old Crow.
Or hot chocolate and Old Crow, or peppermint schnapps.

Looks like here in NJ where we are it’s going to be a mess with snow and sleet, making for that back breaking snow that sometimes the snowblower can’t even handle as it clogs the shoot. I’d rather have all rain or powder at this point but not up to me lol. No matter what happens we’ll survive may be time to smoke those plate ribs I bought!

                  Stay safe and enjoy!

We had a bit of a storm a few days back. It rained for hours Fri night then turned to a mix making about 3" of slush, then snow Sat all day adding 3-4 inches of heavy wet snow on top of the slush, then it all froze. Limbs falling everywhere, power outages. Everything has been an ice block since, but at least it's white. It's so much nicer when it's just snow, not ice also.

This is my home office view seconds ago. The snow in the trees is 4 days old because it's a frozen solid crust and the wind won't shake it. Just like what's on all my cookers It's pretty on the trees.

We got the same crap over here. First round with the shovel after work was a lot like working concrete. It moves, just not without a fight.

Exactly! I was surprised last night how crusty it was on my kettle lid, I felt like I was going to damage it removing the buildup for an early morning smoke starting this morning. willxfmr

I enjoy 3 of the 4 seasons here in New England, guess which one I don't, it"s the one that makes my grilling and smoking more difficult but not impossible. I plan on putting something in the smoker on Saturday.
