Keeping your recipe cards clean and in good shape

A few years go I picked up a laminator from Harbor Freight. I don't even recall now why I bought it, but I've found that it works great to keep recipes from getting damaged. Using a regular sheet of paper I layout the recipes in four quarters, leaving enough room in between so the laminate sheet can seal all four sides of each recipe. With a little forethought, you can print recipes on both sides. After you laminate you cut them out, and you have the equivalent of 3x 5cards. You can hole punch a corner and hold them together with a key ring.

When we get into the new homestead with the killer back patio begging to be filled up with BBQ pits, I plan to get something like this done. Love me this "laminated line."
