HO-HO-HO! Folks! Here it is. The sign up sheet for this year's Secret Santa! The last few years have been a lot of fun and we would love to see an even bigger turn out this year. In the past, this is has been a great holiday event and one that is always a treat! It is always a pleasure to put this together and bring our already tight community even closer.
The Rules:
1) Sign up by simply saying, "HO-HO-HO" in your comment below. I will add you to the list. (This is not limited to US members, so please keep in mind you may need to send something over seas. If you are paired with an overseas member, and you do not want to pay the shipping charge, I will be happy to personally help fund the shipping)
2) Please leave a little note to your Santa, telling them who the gift is from. You can make it anonymous, however, telling your giftee who the gift is from makes it easier for us to thank our Santa when the post is made.
3) Please, only sign up if you are willing to send a gift out to your giftee. I fully understand that this is a tough year for everyone, so if anyone needs any help at all with shipping or your gift, please let me know.I am happy to help in anyway possible. We don't want anyone being left out, after signing up. Once I make the pairings, I will let you know who you have, via PM, and we can go from there. Again, if you have any questions or concerns at all, please feel free to send me a message and I will make sure to get back to you ASAP.
4) Gifts should be outdoor or indoor cooking oriented. Home-made, store bought or a combination of the two is great. You can send what ever you want but make sure it is something that can be posted to The Pit. Remember........this is the only place where getting a big ol' bag of charcoal is a good thing!!!!
5) Once you receive your gift, post what you received from your Secret Santa, in the Secret Santa 2020 thread. (I will post at a later date and tag all members involved) We want to see what you got and how you will be using it. This will also let your Santa know that you received your gift.
6) There are no $$ limits on gifts, but please be reasonable. In this tough year, this is a great chance to bring some much needed joy to someone else's life.
7) Finally, and this should really be #1.........Have Fun! Please don't let this stress you out! This is supposed to be a fun event designed to spread some holiday cheer to your friends in The Pitmaster Club!In keeping with the theme of The Pitmaster Club, everyone is more than welcome, the more the better! Again, this is about connecting with members in The Pitmaster Club and spreading holiday cheer!
I will allow this to marinate for about a week to give people time to decide and see this post. Then I will close it down and the list will be made. If you would like to be added after the close date, PM me and I will see what I can do to work you in, but I can't make any guarantees.
HO-HO-HO!!
Keep the smoke rollin',
