Sorry folks. I have had a really crazy week this past. We've had a lot of COVID cases at our warehouses and I have been out of town trying to fill in the spots and working double shifts late into the night. (Since I already had the Rona, I am the fill in guy.) Consequently, I have not had a lot of time to be around the Pit. I apologize for my time away. I will get to this as soon as I can. I should be heading back home late tonight for the holiday but I have to leave again Friday morning and through the weekend, but I should be back home again on Monday and I can knock this out then. Again, I apologize for the delay.

I hope everyone is has a safe Thanksgiving.

      Be well,

      John

Okay Folks! The pairings are out.

I am terribly sorry for the delay in getting this out. I have been out of town for work and have just not been able to tackle this.

I hope everyone is doing well and your are gearing up for the holiday.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know and I will get back to you ASAP. I should be around much more.

      Thank you and happy holidays!

      • I cook on a 15-year-old Kamado #9, a huge beast nearly 6 feet tall and with black ceramic tile on the outside. I of course love smoked meats of all kinds, but also like quick cooks like chicken portions, pork tenderloins and fish. Really into cooking of all kinds. Just added an outdoor fire pit that has grilling capability and limited Santa Maria-style grill raising and lowering.

Just a friendly reminder to folks that the address given to the person you've been paired with is the one on your membership registration. If you have moved recently without updating your address, it might be a good idea to DM Spinaker and ask him to forward your new address so your gift is sent to the proper address.

SheilaAnn Well, I guess I should have specified what I meant by that. I'm a BBQ enthusiast, but not what you'd call a "foodie". I enjoy a good meal, sure, but I live on a pretty spartan diet.

A big part of this site is our unbiased equipment and product reviews. We love playing with toys and we have no problem calling them the way we see them. Some companies pay a finder's fee if a reader clicks a link on AmazingRibs.com and buys a product. It has zero impact on our reviews, zero impact on the price you pay, and the sites never tell us what you bought, but it has a major impact on our ability to keep this site alive! The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

      the good one grill
The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

Griddle And Deep Fryer In One

      Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker
The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all!

The Pit Barrel Cooker May Be Too Easy

      Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker
The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It is absolutely positively without a doubt the best bargain on a smoker in the world. Period. This baby will cook circles around the cheap offset sideways barrel smokers because temperature control is so much easier.

The Cool Kettle With The Hinged Hood We Always Wanted

      NK-22-Ck Grill
Napoleon's NK22CK-C Charcoal Kettle Grill puts a few spins on the familiar kettle design. In fact, the hinged lid with a handle on the front, spins in a rotary motion 180 degrees. It's hard to beat a Weber kettle, but Napoleon holds its own and adds some unique features to make the NK22CK-C a viable alternative.
