USPS finally finished getting my whole order to my new AZ friend... only took a month. I suspect with the way mail is going we'll have a few random SS posts for the next week or so

Woohoo! I love my Secret Santa gifts!! ItsAllGoneToTheDogs sent me some awesome gifts. I wanted to try to Carolina BBQ. I guess East vs West is another topic but he sent me enough to make up my own mind. Super thoughtful that he read what I wanted and went all out. Eight sauces and four rubs. Some might even be a bit spicy. I'm very appreciative and can't wait to begin grilling & smoking. One question...Mustard sauce. Put it on everything or pork, chicken???

      Thanks again to ItsAllGoneToTheDogs !!

Thanks also to Spinaker for running the event.

@holehog Yes, Want to get into playing. It’s just my wife and I so I was looking for games for two people. I understand Ticket To Ride is more fun with more but two can play. I stayed away from Catan for that reason. Pandemic and Onitama are the other two games. Any other ideas? A friend told me about ticket to Ride. He received an expansion pack, I think Europe, for Christmas.

A big thank you to my secret Santa Dewesq55 I received a Dalstrong Phantom Series Boning Knife. I do believe this is the nicest knife I have in the collection. Quite a show piece that i cannot wait to show off and use. I was hoping to collect a few pics in action but have just been too busy.
Thank you again for the knife David, I see a lot of uses in the future.
Merry Christmas and hope you and family have a Very Happy New Year!

Sweet looking knife! I have a couple Dalstrongs and love them. I was skeptical at first and thought they were a bit gimmicky but they look awesome, are sharp as heck, and seem to hold an edge well. Fun to use too! You will love that one.

Everyone got some wonderful gifts and there was a lot of fun and laughter reading through this. It really shows how everyone cares and loves BBQ and wants to share their love with others.

So, Secret Santa came all the way over to Sweden, yay!! And what great gifts! I absolutely love the local touch, I received locally produced NC bbq sauces, a bag of cornbread mix, and a map of all bbq joints in NC. Super!

I have sampled the sauces already, very nice vinegar based sauces. I like the fact that they aren’t so sweet. Just perfect. My favorite is the Mama Dip’s sauce.

I don’t know who my secret Santa is, but a big Thank You for setting me up NC style!

My apologies for being so darn thick headed, and thanks again FlashHokie!

Santa may have been delayed, but his arrival was definitely worth the wait! My Secret Santa mcook2201 sent me local BBQ sauces, mopping sauces, a nice thick cut ham steak, yellow corn meal for awesome cornbread, special flour, Texas Pete's Hot Sauce, some very interesting pretzel stars dipped in white chocolate (definitely a fan of white chocolate) and Autry fried chicken coating!

It all comes from North Carolina! Locally grown, made, ground, bottled and dipped! (the pretzels)
        Including Texas Pete's!

I was at Ft Bragg when in the army in the 70's and have missed NC style sauces, etc. Great Gift idea Mark! (And he sent a letter that explained about each item)!

I fry them, and then I put some rub in a stainless bowl. Add the wings and toss. But you don't need much, a little goes a long way. Sometimes I will then throw some sauce in the bowl too. Frank's Sweet Chili is an awesome sauce to use.
