Well my gift (or haul) came in yesterday from CaptainMike . Many thanks Mike (and yes Mike, at first I did think you sent me a blood pressure cuff ). I've never cooked on a Phat Mat, nor ever tried Hanks beef rub (gonna try it out on a steak tonight ). Looking forward to both. Also needed back up tongs and gloves. And to top it off, I got some homemade Jalapeno jelly and smoked cayenne powder.........WOW! Can I let you know when my birthday is??

Jfrosty27 tried the original sauce when making some chuckie cow candy. Really impressed. Typically not a huge fan of most sauces but this was really good! Looking forward to trying the others. Thanks again.

This has been the best year yet, Folks! We are not done, but all I can say it......WOW!

I know I have said this many times, but thank you all so much for participating in the Secret Santa. It really is amazing what we have done here. I make the pairings, and send out the addresses, but it is all of you that deserve the praise. The generosity and kindness displayed here is something the world certainly needs more of. This is just more proof that BBQ brings people together.

I shipped them USPS December 7 using priority "2 day" express mail for 15.05$ and he got them on December 21. I am calling that COVID delays not "your government at work"--- glad you liked them

mrteddyprincess - I went Saturday and bought 2 inch pork chops, cut from the hog with your gift certificate. I treated this thing like gold. Brined in pear and Basque sauce. Injected with the strained reserve. I made a white wine, cranberry reduction over the fire. It turned out better than I could get anywhere. Thank you again!

clb239 Chris!!! What a cool gift this is! I love reading about the history of food, especially the local ties to food and these books are perfect for that! I’ve really enjoyed the east coast style BBQ, and almost prefer that over others that I’ve tried so these books will be fabulous to read. And the sauce book! I can’t wait to give this a go! And sauces, you can never have enough so this will be fun to read and see what new styles I can pick up!

Also, the stickers are perfect! Already added them to my tool chest and it looks great!

AND the GC to Malcolm Reed’s shop! I’ve never looked at his shop, but a quick peak and there are some great options!

tbob4. Never used the mix before, but I usually crush a couple baskets of 'em at the restaurant. My wife now makes a "copycat" version, but we use applesauce instead of egg due to my daughter having an egg allergy.

As far as white sauce goes, it's a little different everywhere you go, but Meathead's recipe is very good.

Hey guys. This is my gift...lol...I will be tasting everything very carefully. Especially the Gibson and Dreamland Sauce. I used the Greek seasoning tonight already. It is awesome. I am a huge biscuit lover so I can’t wait for those. My wife is thrilled about the Habanero BBQ sauce. I’m a connoisseur of sauces. Love them 👍

While I've never used th Dominator Rib Rub, I kin Steadfastly recommend th Black Ops, on All Things Beefy, without a moment's Hesitation, or Reservation...these folks from only 6-7 miles from where I growed up... folks, thereabouts, might know a lil sumpin sumpin, bout some BBQ

(Mebbe even some Shine, as wail... )
