    First Fire of the Year

I know, you are thinking his first smoke of year... BUT NO, the first fire in the wood burning stove of the year... Projected high today was 49, but it was actually only 21... Sunday is projected with 6-8 inches of snow with a low of 6 and high of 19... AND we are still in burn ban so no wood or charcoal cooking fires... I still have shi... "stuff" to do out side... I guess the wet saw is gonna be kinda chilly...

I knew exactly what you meant. I beat you by a week. I took a couple of weeks off to work on my old farm and the inside temp of the house was 40 when I got here. Since then we've been slammed with over half a foot of snow and overnight lows in the teens, firebox has not gone out. Our burn ban has already been lifted, thanks to a gully washer we had a couple of weeks ago. But the snow has hampered my work plans and now I have to pull two trailers back over a couple of passes. One will have my tractor and backhoe on the back. I hope the warmer temps forecast for the end of the week (50F) will clean off the highway.

I knew the what you meant - my parent’s are doing the same! Crazy weather! Only a high of 35 today....and that was earlier this morning...temps are still dropping, getting to a low of 23* here by 8pm. Perhaps some snow...

Yep - High of 78 yesterday and forecast high of 28 today with 6 - 8 inches of snow expected tomorrow. Glad I stocked up on Saturday.

Can’t believe the amount of snow we got! I didn’t realize it was going to be an accumulating amount of snow!

So we are still in the mid to upper 80's here. Sadly, no fires outside of the kettle and PBC expected for quite some time.
