My hobby is whittling, and wood carving. I have been intrigued by the tools for years. A wood carving/whittling knife is a whole other animal in the world of sharp. It kind of becomes part of the hobby learning to sharpen them up. I have literally used tubes of superglue through the years as instant bandaids. You slip the wrong way, and these things will cut through a protective glove like they aren' even there.

HawkerXP I had to add him to this post. I have never taken any pictures of the tools.

Here is one of the Santas in the works. A lot larger than I normally work on. He is 18'' tall, and about 7 inches wide. I nicknamed him Gigantaclause.

I am a rank amateur in the wood carving world. There are folks out there doing INCREDIBLE wood carvings. My problem is I go in spurts. I get caught up in it for 6 months or so then burn out and let it set for a few months. Some of the real carvers do it everyday for a living.

Gigantaclause shown above is a very lucky piece of basswood. No blemishes, NO rough grain, NO knots it is a really clean piece of wood.

I have a nice little weight room in my garage thanks to my wife. She would love a garage - no cars allowed. It isn’t extravagant enough for photos, plus weight rooms don’t photograph well.

Enclosed warm garages just cause cars to rust that much faster.

Good one. I was gong to say underwear. I think since March I have put on a dozen pairs. I did go into the garage and basement to see if I have anything. Well I do have a bike. I hope the old saying you never forget still is true. It's been awhile. Then in the garage, there is my lawn tractor, tire inflator and the normal lawn tools. So, no toys and seeing what you folks have, I should feel really bad. So, to mitigate that feeling I'll pour another glass of wine.

I was fortunate enough to get to build a new shop for my retirement. Here are my toys so far. If these are out of order please remember I'm technically challenged. The first is my cast iron reconditioning set up. There's a lye vat, an electrolysis vat and an oven to season in. The next I've only had for a couple of weeks, it's a Carvermaster, I use it to duplicate gun stocks. What you see is a piece of 2x6 I'm practicing on. I'm no where near ready for a piece of nice walnut yet. The fellow who made it for me makes some beautiful ball and claw table legs on his. Lastly is my metal lathe it's for gun work and a lot of other things I like to make. I can spend weeks in there and never get tired of it. Click image for larger version

I collect vintage cast iron cook ware. It's an addiction. I go to yard sales, flea markets, antique malls, and estate sales looking for them. The lye vat removes the built up grease and carbon. The electrolysis vat removes rust. The oven is where I bake several layers of oil on to create a non-stick surface. There are still some beautiful old pieces out there. Checkout castironcollector.com.

Jfrosty27 Damn Man! I was kinda proud of my home theatre setup till I saw yours. Not even in the same league. Wow! I’m a home theatre geek. Subscribe to Sound and Vision and a few other specialty mags, for years. I’d love to hear about your gear. Tell me a little about it if ya don’t mind. What are those speakers? What sub or subs are you running, TV? Mine’s an LG OLED. Sorry for all the questions. Told ya I was a geek.

Nice set up! That TV is super thin. I have a 65 inch Panasonic Plasma. One of the last years they made them. Plasma is hard to beat. No pixelation and smooth rendering. Great viewing angles.

Thanks Old Glory Yeah, loved my plasma also, I had the 58” Panasonic. Best picture out there at the time. That picture was hard to beat. When I got my 65” LG OLED though, no comparison. Everything looks so good, even regular TV shows. And 4K movies, awesome. Like plasma, excellent viewing angles. The width of the TV is as wide as a ✏️ pencil.

ID:	918505Panhead John. Here’s the rest of the room more or less. The speakers are Legacy Audio Whisper's
and the Marquis center. I run a pair of Klipch bookshelf speakers in the rear. No sub woofer needed with the Whisper’s. They have 15” woofers and deliver all the bass you need. For the Mac stuff, three 500 watt mono amps across the front with a 400 watt per stereo amp for the rears. TV is a 55” Samsung QLED. (I have a 75” QLED upstairs in my family room).

Craigar The gold records are replicas that were floating around eBay nearly 20 years ago. I actually have 6 of them. 5 Beatles and the prize is Jethro Tull Aqualung signed by Ian Anderson. Somebody took the actual albums and plated them with gold somehow then framed them with the album jacket.
