    My son knew this large hunk of beef would excite me. We are going have a feast tonight. Happy Father's Day to all.

                I'm at my son's house and I've trimmed and put some rub on it. He has a 3 burner gasser. I'm going to use the far left burner to bake it to 115°. Then I'll remove the steaks. Fire up all four burners plus the infrared element. I'll blot them with a paper towel baste them with beef love and sear them.

                        Looks pretty tasty, and right side up this time! After I got GrillGrates for my gas grill I have been experimenting with things I rarely cooked, but now I'm craving a nice ribeye again.

                          Wartface , those are some absolutely gorgeous steaks. Restaurant quality, for sure. You cooked them perfectlly on that gasser. What a great FD gift, the gift of a good meal with family.

                          Yno , those Grate Grates are game changers. I can fire up my gasser now and have no fear of flareups. Plus I like the idea of being able to get the source of smoke (from chips put in the grooves) closer to the meat than is possible from the grill's smokerbox, which is set all the way at one end of it--just "perfect" for letting the smoke waft outside of the grill and almost never onto the meat. Bad design for sure. Anyway, the chips on the GGs eliminate that problem. I have yet to see whether Mo's pouch on top of the GG will ignite, but will give it a try one of these days.

                            One more bite of the apple from my Father's Day hunk of meat. We grilled the other half of the Prime Ribeye this evening. Mmmm
