    Sad Day Today...

I lost My Mom this morning....She was only 74. I am 54... When I was in Grade School, she used to teach me to cook over the phone so dinner would be close to ready when she got home... There were a couple of times we had to order pizzas. We laughed so hard....

    She wasn't perfect...

She was indeed a great Mom!!!

    Thanks for listening.

Sorry for your loss, man. I lost my dad 32 years ago when he was 45, and I am thankful every day for the 20 years we had together.

Troy, my deepest an most sincere condolences, Brother. My thoughts an prayers go out to yerself an yer family.

Lost my Ma at 73 YO, way back in '06...

So much of who I am is really her, jus livin on in me... th ability to find love, an humour in a world of pain, to appreciate th beauty around me, to take things head on, an whoop they arses...

Of course, they's also always th fact she taught me how to cook, from time I hadda stand on a kitchen chair, or cosco stepchair, to even reach th cooker top...

Well put, Bones. Your comment reminds me of a quote by Neil Postman:

“Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.”
