          lololol my dad used lighter fluid but those dogs, steak, chops and burgers were still good....I wouldn't have cared 😊

            Kind of weird but it seems like it was an expected part of grilling back then.
            And it was kind of a not too bad taste before we knew better.

            I still like the smell of lighter fluid. But not the taste.

            Oh yeah, my friend used to come over and have my grandmas home made iced tea and not drink it. They wanted 4c cause it was what they were used to. lol I thought gas was bbq flavor 😅🤣😂 Smell = memories, flavor is freaking atrocious lol

          My dad had one of those electric element charcoal starters for as long as I can remember. I did use lighter fluid myself for a time. I think if you let it burn off and let the briquettes ash over, there was no taste that I noticed. That said, I would never use it today. I do have an electric starter, but I haven't used it in a long while either.

          Lighter fluid? Ya we have all done it, but boiling Ribs that should be 10 years to life.
