    Ballistic BBQ investigates Frankensteak!

Aka, "meat glue". I found this fascinating, myself.
Meat glue is always going to be totally weird sounding but we’ve all eaten it before (if you eat at fast food restaurants, at least). It’s derived from blood and is a clotting agent that allows different types of meat to stick to each other, hence the name. You can do a lot of weird, Frankenstein-type experiments with it.

I myself have meat glue in the freezer and used it to 'glue' bacon onto a beef tenderloin with great result - i have yet to try it on other stuff - i embrace modern techniques of cooking myself but to each his own...as long as they are used in a moral way and not to fool people into thinking they're getting something they're not - i'm really against that. It apparently is a harmless product similar or same to blood clotting agents in blood or something like that and some of the world's greatest chef's are using it to create great food. I think it has it's place in modern cuisine as long as it's used responsibly and honestly .. IMHO
