    Ace Hardware PBC Story

So I was in Ace yesterday to get some Blues Hog TN red and while I was standing at the shelf, I heard this whisper behind me PBC PBC PBC. It got louder and louder PBC PBC PBC. Even louder PBC PBC PBC I grabbed the sauce and ran out the store, almost forgetting to pay for it. They may not let me back in. I don’t think I want to go back in.

That TN Red is among my fave sauces, an I'm not really a 'Sauce Guy'...
    I'da run, too...
Nuthin against no PBC's, if they wanted to send me one to test/review, I'd be on it, like a duck on a June Bug!

Blues Hog Champion's Blend (They usedta have it) was reportedly a 50:50 mixture of their Original, an Tennessee Red. I've done that, an it is dang dang good. I wouldn't lie bout this, not even really a 'Sauce Guy', but I knows what I likeys.
I've always enjoyed a 50:50 of their Smoky Mountain/Tennessee Red.
Might give that a try, see what ya think, scottranda ...

Ahm'a order me summa their Honey Mustard, cause I love such, an am curious to see their take on it.

        Review will surely follow.

Y'all got me convinced I need to try this blues hog out.

Man, just checked their website and the nearest place I can get it is in League City - 30 miles from here.

If I drive that far.... I'm gonna get sucked into Cabelas.

That could be some expensive sauce!

Mr. Bones - the have the champions blend on their website, but only in a gallon size.

Is it temptation, or conviction? I always like to say that the Lord led me to the PBC, that way no one can criticize my purchase without blaspheming, lol.

Don't be afraid of going into Ace Hardware klflowers . All of your friends in The Pit will have your back. We can even give your links to fire that PBC up and get you going in the right direction.

Plenty of Weber and BGE stuff at my local ACE but no PBC even though they're listed as a dealer.

I picked up a jar of TN Red based on the recommendations here. Picked up a pack of bone in skin on chicken breasts at Aldi. I'll do a dry brine, but what do you guys recommend for a rub? MMD or S&G from the free side, Weber Kicken' Chicken? I haven't sampled the sauce yet.

I'll toss this out, but the Tennessee Red is really more of a vinegar based pulled pork sauce, not sure it will go as well with chicken. I usually use the other Blues Hog sauces with chicken.

OK will do the Kicken' Chicken dry brine by itself.

jfmorris One of my favorites is the Lexington Dip on the free side with chicken so no problem there.

My ACE has a PBC buried under other merchandise because their margins in BGE's are out of sight. i know the owner and told him I had a PBC and he got weird on me quick.

I wasn't planning on getting a UDS but I read the review of the Oklahoma Joe's Bronco Drum Smoker that was bragging about what a good deal this was for 299 and so I checked online. Walmart had them on clearance for 184$ Well at that price, MCS has really kicked in. what a score. They are back to 312 now. I am using mine mainly as a chicken smoking machine (pretty much perfect) and additional surface area for big cooks. Last big cook this was the spot for the pork belly burnt ends. My son uses the PBC a lot in addition to his stick burner. Just go back and spend some money! hasn't the pandemic taught you anything? Spend it all!

@trouman, Amazon has it. It seems like we get Amazon deliveries every other day. I made a run to the butcher to get a butt, and Ace was on my way so I stopped in.
