Had that happen about 15 years ago. How’s the neighborhood? Power out? Friends and neighbors okay?

Everybody is ok, some property damage of course. Power pole in the front yard snapped in 3 pieces, they will have to string a new distribution line. I gots lots of charcoal and wood though...

klflowers Looks like a tulip poplar that is down. I guess the good news is it's much lighter weight than, say, and oak. The wood is great for kindling, and that's about it.

The back yard is covered in downed trees. We were very blessed

Thank goodness you and yours are ok. Scary stuff. I feel for you and especially the ones who weren't as fortunate.

Glad you are all ok. Crazy how the cookers just stayed in place.

I know, right. The deck was covered with debris, but the cookers were fine. It even broke the table we had back there.

Glad you stayed safe. It all blew past me, and tornadoes stayed south or north of me last night.

Usually they miss us too. Not this time though. Thanks. I really want to retire now, that was much too close.

Wow. So relieved you, your family and neighbors are okay. Here's hoping they get power back to you sooner rather than later. Is the RV in your profile pic there at the house? With a generator, I hope?

Yeah the rv is in the driveway. Didn't get touched either. We were blessed. It has a genny, so we can use the fridge. Power may be a while, the power pole with the transformer is laying in the yard.

Dang...Glad you and family are ok..It is weird how the cookers stayed there. Regardless, they are replaceable. You and family are not.

Thanks, man. Funny, from time to time my wife says I am replaceable, and that she could probably get a cheaper model. But you are right. The important thing is that we came through it.
