    Here's one of mine...

    "Pray like it all depends on Him, work like it all depends on you"

    Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.

      Love it. Adding to my list...

    3 of mine:

    "This too shall pass" (always true, good or bad)

    "Don't be afraid to go out on a limb, that's where the fruit is"

    "If you always follow the crowd, you'll never make it any further than the crowd"

    We have another similar topic that stalled a while back, full of good quotes, check it out: https://pitmaster.amazingribs.com/fo...-tell-us-yours

      Don’t stress about the stall. That is normal.

      Good ones!

    Circumstances always argues that what’s possible is defined by what’s already real; that “success” consists of maintaining
    the status quo.

    Yet, beyond circumstance, beyond the dictates of practicality or common sense, are those flights of creative vision that
    look beyond what’s real, toward the infinite possibility that the future provides.

    The course of history has always been made by those who set their sights on the infinite possibility – who, guided by their own commitment, take actions that brings infinitude into the realm of human life.
    On the flip side:

    If at first you don't succeed, lower your expectations!

      You always have pleasure in doing your thing well; it must give you independence from the whole buffoonery into which we have been born. Albert Einstein

      To Have Succeeded

      To laugh often and love much:
      To win respect of intelligent people
      And the affection of children;
      To earn the approbation of honest critics
      And endure the betrayal of false friends;
      To appreciate beauty;
      To find the best in others;
      To give one's self;
      To leave the world a little better,
      Whether by a healthy child,
      A garden patch,
      Or redeemed social condition;
      To have played and laughed with enthusiasm
      And sung with exultation;
      To know even one life has breathed easier
      Because you have lived...
      This is to have succeeded.

        Thank you, Max. My wife showed that to me 40 years ago at a particularly low point in my life. It helped enormously. I am happy to share it.

              Just never fails to get me fired up when I watch that, Mr. Bones. Wouldn't want a Pit brother to get carried away and injure himself as a result of hearing such a powerful message.

            He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed.

                  Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

                  If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

                  Money will buy a fine dog, but only kindness will make him wag his tail.

                  When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It is difficult only for the others. It is the same when you are stupid.
