    RIP Joe Diffie

Country star Joe Diffie died yesterday from the coronovirus.

I am very sad about this personally. I loved this guy. 90's country was/is my favorite decade of country and Joe Diffie was one of my favorites.

Even though I really liked his upbeat tunes, this song will always be my favorite of his. I think the forlorn nature of this song fits the tragedies we're seeing with him and so many others lately.

Stay safe and be smart everyone. Whether we have money, fame, or none of the above, none of us are invincible.

I really hated to hear that this morning. I can't even muster a "Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox" joke. And now I'm kicking myself for not going to his concert in my hometown last year.

Never thought of that! But yeah, too soon.

My sick mind had the song in my head before I even realized why, of course.

You can't, cause the bars are closed.

Seriously, not a country guy, but you couldn't miss this guy in the 90s. Sorry to hear about this. Unfortunately I expect more familiar names.

Not a country fan but Joe Diffie is a name I recognized as a musician.
Read that John Prine is not doing well either. Hope he pulls thru.

I hope he pulls through too. I love his off beat style. I still have an album or two of his. I may have to go listen to "You may see me tonight with an illegal smile" or "Dear Abbey" .

Sad to see him go. He sang REAL country music, not the stuff they call country today. Today's and then are very, very different. Thank Joe...RIP

I very much agree. The 90s was about the end of real country IMO.

RIP my brother. We love you.

He and so many others from that time period helped to shape my life. I will always be grateful.
        Thank you. ❤️

we're losing too many. This is a stupid problem to have. I'm worried about Mr. Prine.

Another true country music singer lost......the GOOD country music is slowly losing its identity unfortunately.
