In recent months, in response to some work bein thrown my way that required more than one golf club, fer example...
My house has also become infested.
Sorry fer th carppy, low light pics, but if I turn th light on, they become active, an very loud...lol

Nice to be gittin some work in this wise, though, been a dry spell, then somebody, somewhere happened to remembered me.

Sounds like yer set, to me, Brother! A feller can only play one at a time.
I happened to need a whole buncha new colours in my palette, in order to fulfill some contractual obligations that were offered me. Been some time since that's happened, so I had sold off most my harem.
Could I please see some pics of yer guitfiddles? Sounds like I'd love em all, but ask anybody alive, what knows me: don't never git me started on that there lap steel, fer goodness sakes!
      See below...

That’s quite the collection you got there, brother!!! I’ve always loved the guitar and always wished I could play. Took lessons with several different people but couldn’t ever get my fingers to work right or precise enough to make it work. I’m still super impressed watching folks play though!!! Glad to see ya back lurkin round here, too!

Hahahaha. I took banjo lessons as a kid because I had buddies who played guitar. I couldn’t catch on. I thought the banjo would be easier and I could graduate to guitar. I learned that either the banjo was harder or I just couldn't play any instrument with strings.

ScottyC13 Here's why ya should never hand me yer lap steel...

In all fairness, this is not a demo of my prowess, or recordin skills...

It is literally 'I got a new (to me) Strat today, shipped detuned from a dear friend, an I was takin her fer a test ride, to see how she sounded', was tunin up th strangs t'wards 440, an stopped at open D. (By ear)

Set down, turned on th cell phone? Why? I was testin guitfiddles out fer their tonal qualities, in order to determine where I could best utilize em, to produce product, under crushin deadlines an pressure...large part o where I been fer quite some time.

My ears hear one thang, playin back a vidya sounds different, like recordin yer own voice, right?

Retrospect, reckon I shoulda/still should deep six th vidya, so folks don't think this is how I play in public. Instead, I chose to post it, to torment my self...

Extry Special Guest Star Cameo Bonus: Right bout 0:37 in, lower LH corner, None other than Himself, Smokestack Lightnin Jumpin Jehosaphat Joseph Morris Junior comes casually strollin in frame, waits to make an entrance.

BRB, ahm'a go put on my FR PPE from work, afore I drop th YT link...

Many thanks fer them kind words, RonB I appreciate how ya compared it to our cookin, so lemme elaborate further, to clarify jus how much it ain't even an example of my playin:

      Here was th situation:

Imagine, somebody had hired ya to do yer cookin thang, cause it was jus that, zackly, that they wanted, an nobody does it like yerself.

Now, imagine that a whole lotta money could be th result of said endeavour, but ya ain't really fired up yer smoker, fer a spell, kinda rusty...

      With me so far?

Now, imagine, ya accepted said employment, an hadda pull not jus one, but several rabbits outta yer , uh, er, hat, or yer other end...

Meanwhile, said moneyholder is frantically pacin back an forth, to an fro, anxiously lookin at their very expensive watch, gnashin their teeth, and a wringin their hands in seemin agony, fixin to commence to begin to die, by all outward appearances...

Imagine further that they is microanalyzin, questionin, every single ingredient ya use, every step ya take, every move ya make, in order to make what they asked fer, in th beginnin: Yer Food.

      Feelin comfy?

Now, imagine, durin all this, that they has multiple microphones, some o which cost as much as a NICE house, up yer wazoo, an cameras rollin, as well.

      Nervous, yet?

In order to produce th food demanded, ya go to yer larder, an start pullin out ingredients to make it happen, blockin out th talkin head.

Aw, carp. Ain't got this, an that...ain't needed, nor used it in years. But gotta have it, fer what they's wantin..(demandin sounds so ugly)

Quick thinkin, an a deft mouse finger later, ya gots what ya need comin, imagine it was dropped at yer door/mailbox, shortly thereafter.

Mebbe it was jus some spices, let's say, fer examples sake...

Well, ya grab yer parcel, an head back indoors, eager to git underway...

Take it all back inside, frantically slash it open usin yer trusty rusty Stanley 10-099 utility knife...check th package contents...

Yup, WHEW, it's all there, jus as ordered, ya think, as sweat runs down yer face...an nether regions...

      But. What If...???

Is it Right? Is it gonna work, this time???

Is it gonna work like ya need it to, under these constraints?

On accounta it's Way Past GoTime. Tick (expletive) Tock.

Now is th time to find out, not later, when they're back...

So ya open a jar, take a wee pinch (I always do.), to determine if this is th flavour ya were fervently relyin upon, desperately needin it to be....

On accounta if it isn't, an ya can't produce th product th customer is payin good money fer, then it all comes crashin down, no paycheck, an plus outta pocket fer th ingredients...

      With me so far?

That there candy apple red strat was an ingredient, a spice, somethin I was outta, at th time, in my pantry.

That there video was me openin a fesh, new jar, takin me a lil taste, to see if it was gonna work like I needed it to, an sure as hail not me playin any music, lol

Just testin go/no go, if it was gonna work, or become smoker wood.

I unboxed her, reveled in her beautimousness, then started windin th slacked strangs up to tune...

On th way, since I play slide a Whole Lot, an indeed that was one of many menu items ordered, why, I stopped off at an open D tunin (by ear), an decided to see how she sounded. Turns out, she has a Really Sexy voice to go along with her seductive curves, an ended up bein included in one of th menu items...

Okay, so, now imagine th rest of th stuff ya were outta in yer pantry, to make specific dishes that were th menu they was a wantin...

That easily explains th other guitfiddles. Seem like a lot?

Ain't nuthin, oughtta see my spice cabinet, yall.

(Many yall here, have, be a great thread to revive, btw)

We always think they could be better even if others think it's great...
Absolutely th way I roll, Brother, as I believe most here do...that's what makes it such a Special Place.

Fer them what don't roll that way, please, do me a favour: Don't subject me to yer cookin, or yer 'music' lol! :

Happy trails, yall, gotta git some stuff done, be back later, when I can talk at length lol

Pannin l-r, I count 17 Strats. Fully assembled. I tally 8 Ladies In Waitin. (Not yet assembled/completed), at that point in time.
          But, then, who's countin???
I gots some sounds up on YT, I wouldn't claim em as songs, but that's in th works, gittin a USB interface, already have DAW software.
Awww, Carp, fergot to set aside $ fer guitfiddle lessons, so there'll likely be another 58 year delay.
          Please Stand By.

Mr. Bones Not being much of a connoisseur, why only Strats? I'm asking because I've got a Yamaha acoustic (just got last year) and a Hoffner Shorty I picked up back in W. Germany (yeah, a long time ago). Asking for learning purposes, because I've had a pretty sheltered life on the guitar

Nice collection. Mine consists of a Squier Stratocaster, Seagull 6 string and 12 string acoustics, an Ibanez bass, and tomorrow I take delivery of a body and neck for a 12 string electric Partscaster that will be my summer project.
