Ahh the tall corn and the soybeans. Sometimes I miss the Illinois farmland, then I wake up and thank my lucky stars I'm in Texas !! Especially about 3-4 months from now !!

Good looking soy beans compared to what we had here with the late start to the growing season.

It’s interesting that this fella pretty much Farms the way his grandfather taught him, 3rd generation. His crops are healthier looking than the mega farms around him. He also gets a higher yield & they don’t understand. They think their soil is better. They’ve grown dumb from the university influence.

I was up in Ontario, Canada, fishing and it was feeling a lot like fall! The poplar was changing big time, wind was cool and out of the north at 20 MPH. (Which made for a great Walleye chop, which resulted in us slaying those suckers!)

At home, the Sugar maples are changing and the mornings are in the upper 50's. I have no doubt that old man winter is peering around the corner at us. Fall is my favorite season so it is not a big deal for me.

That Minnesota Winter..........that battle must be prepared for, especially in the north country.

FireMan One of local weather dudes is from Wiscy and was talking about it getting down to 35° up there. It's too danged early for me for the weather to be that cold, even though it's just for one night. On the flip side it signifies football season is here.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

                      Placeholder

The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.
