    My Buddy...

Reckon by now, mosta yall know I'm a Sparky, an work fer th principal regional purveyour of sheepskins, up to, an includin "Piled Higher an Deeper"...

Been there jus shy of 30 years, total, an every now an again, th bennies spring forth, unexpectedly...

We have a Performin Arts Center, which I have been instrumental in keepin electrically operational, with a decided emphasis on maintainin their lighting, since 2012...

They depend heavily on me, an I am held in high esteem, an considered part of th Theater family, with full free VIP access, backstage, Green Room, etc. Heck, I carry keys to many places th theater staff cain't even git into...

That has served me well, as recompense fer my dedicated labours on their behalf, many times in th past, but this here might jus be th biggest payoff of my career...

Guess who's comin to town? Well, actually several great artists, but of course, as a Bluesman, reckon yall can figger which one I'm most fired up about...

    Buddy!!! The man himself.

By the way, I started as a youngster as a electrical field engineer doing nuclear power plant construction. Most of what I know I was taught by electricians.

Always a surprise beneath the aw shucks, country boy image.🙂 A supporter and well respected person in the fine arts field. The show doesn’t go on without the hard work of the staging, backstage and lighting people!. Hope you have one memorable night and enjoy yourself.

Knew about your music Mr. Bones , guitar and banjo and I believe a little songwriting too. I have followed those threads but am still impressed by your support and work for the entire range of “Performing Arts” behind the scenes. My wife was a daughter in the touring Fiddler on the Roof, ages and ages ago, and I know just how hard the people behind the scenes work so the performers can do their thing.

I saw Buddy Guy in Houston back in the spring, fantastic show. You would think he'd mellow out, geeze he only gets better. One of the best concerts I've been to in years, small venue, very intimate. You're gonna love his show Bonesy !!!

(Listen for Jeff Beck and Kieth Richards on this one as well !!)

I don't rightly reckon Buddy will ever mellow out; I think, one day, he'll simply Flame Out, an this World will be a Much Poorer place to habitate...I will be effin wrecked, on accounta he's both my Hero, an a Friend...

Here's to hopin I die, first!

Not sure I'm ready to take th loss of my Buddy, to be honest...we done lost way too many, recently...

Good fer One's Soul, way I reckon it. YMMV.

We use both natural lump charcoal and KNB for smoking and measure our temps with a Maverick 733, thermopen and MK4. Favorite beer depends on what is cooking (alt answer is yes).

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

        the good one grill

The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.
