    Tropical Storm Barry!

Any thoughts and prayers ya'll could send this way would be appreciated. Storm is expected to dump a load of rain. Many homes will flood. Wife and I are hunkering down and we should be OK. The cat seems unconcerned.

          Thoughts an Prayers sent, Brother...

Th Potential looks rather Ugly, dependin on th storm track...Th Mississippi is already nearly fully engorged, flood surge from th hurricane can not only stop th outflow, but tidally reverse it, shovin flood crest back up Ol Muddy...

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. I've been through these many times and each one is different. As Mr. Bones said, they're sweating a good bit down in N.O.. Historically, the Mississippi has never been this high when a hurricane or tropical storm came in. My personal opinion is the river will be OK but they will have flooding from direct rainfall. While N.O. has the largest pumping setup in the world, it can only do so much.

We in Texas owe so much to the Cajon navy, I'll bet we'll be there if needed. Prayers and best wishes are on their way.

God Bless you sir and hope you will be fine through this. I have only been through one hurricane and it was on a 5500 foot carrier and we out ran it so we were on the safe side and only rolled a little bit. LOL

                • We have two weber kettle grills (one LARGE and one small/average), the SnS and the Weber Smokey Mountain 18" smoker. We use both natural lump charcoal and KNB for smoking and measure our temps with a Maverick 733, thermopen and MK4. Favorite beer depends on what is cooking (alt answer is yes).

Best to you, do whatever it takes to be safe.

Looking at the bright side, you might be able to catch that fish from your back porch. Getting the charcoal lit might be another story though.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

                          Placeholder

The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all!
