Will update. Finish is going to be Lake Placid Blue. White pickguard, chrome hardware. It's a hardtail. I'm not a trem guy. I also have a V-ish build in progress and a LP in progress. Completed I have a solid maple tele (weighs a ton!) and a double cutaway solid mahogany with 3 piece mahogany set in neck with 2 P90s. I also built a lefty LP as a gift for a very good friend several years ago. One of the reasons I was away from the pit for s while is I was indulging this other passion of mine - luthiery.

I saw my PA today, the one who set my leg in the ER while I played 'Fat Old Sun' on my iPhone. He was excited to tell me the results of the auction, which has slipped my mind. Here's an article on it, the Black Strat sold for $3,975,000 which established a new record.

That is awesome. I figured that guitar would go for more than 200K, but no idea that much! How's your leg?

I prefer oak. I think all the lacquer would produce an off taste.
