    I have a question

What does " void side of cooker" mean? I'm thinking close to the fire or firebox.

Where did you hear or read this? I've never heard the expression. I'm guessing it means empty side?

I read it in "Big Bob Gibson BBQ Cooking Book" by Chris Lilly. I was reading a chicken recipe and he said to place the chicken on the void side of the cooker.

I think he was referring to 2-zone cooking. As in not directly over the coals .

        Great book btw.

Jerod Broussard your right. Meathead gave me the same answer. I also enjoy the book it has some great recipes in it.

I think this might be a good question for Chris Lilly on March 6th.
