I had the pleasure last night of taking a set of doubles to Pullman and Lewiston from Spokane and back. 40mph winds blew snow drifts 2 feet high onto 195. I had almost thought we were going to miss winter this year. Hunkered down in Colville today, tomorrow going over Sherman back to the Okanogan.

Spinaker everything on the west side of the Cascades gets warmed by air coming off the Pacific Ocean. Snowline here is usually about 2000 feet. In a good winter storm, it will drop to 3-400 feet, and my house is at about 700 feet elevation.
