    Maybe it's me, maybe its cuz of winter, but where are all the cooks? Posting has fallen way off. I mean where's the beef ????

    Mine was chicken in a wok inside, no beef. Since us northerners seem to hold half the fort, it seems the winter is gettin the best of us a little bit. At least me it has, that & the home care stuff.

    Brother I hate posting a day late and a dollar short! If you are ever down in these part, (meaning about 30 miles from you LOL) we gotta new meat market called Stone Cold Meats over in League City. Man dang dang good. Did up a Wagyu brisket this weekend. Didn't start a thread cus I am way behind. Maybe I should have cus it was a dang good cook!

          I've only had the Grilla going a couple of times so far this year. And I haven't posted any pics because I haven't done anything that I haven't posted before. Monday I made burnt ends out of a chuckie, but I've posted that several times before, so I didn't bother doing it again. (They were really good, some of the best I've done, and had a beautiful smoke ring, but they are long gone now. Last week was some of the coldest weather in years, then we warmed to the tune of 70 to 80 degrees. Today we are back to 9 degrees (at least its above 0) and the snow is coming down pretty good. My dilemma is that tomorrow is my birthday, and my tradition for years is to do steaks on the grill on my birthday. I've got a couple of T-bones in the fridge thawing (from the size of the package I'm guessing they officially would be Porterhouse). What I have been doing is a lot of cooking on the IR grill indoors. Bought it in December and we both love it. No smoke flavor, but it actually puts nice grill marks on whatever I'm cooking. My wife wants me to do the T-bones on the IR grill, and not try to do them outside. I'm waiting to make my final decision until tomorrow. I also have a couple of pork shoulder roasts in the fridge thawing. My son and his family are supposed to be here on Sunday and I'm planning to put them on the Grilla. Fingers crossed.

          I smoked 4 slabs of baby back ribs and a pork butt this week for a party last night. Bought 1 lb of pulled pork from a local bbq joint to throw in the beans. (Thanks Mr. Bones for the idea). No beef but the food was good.
          For Sunday I picked these up at the store. I’ll post a couple of pics before we inhale them. Beef ribs rock!

              OK, here's the beef from Thursday, first chance I've had to post. This is one of the T-Bones from what I posted a few days ago. In case they didn't look real big in that picture, there wasn't much room on the plate for much else, so I didn't get a picture of the wild rice mix we also had. Done on the IR grill indoors, to an IT of about 125. But I did get a picture of my birthday cupcake and peppermint ice cream.
