So based on the recent post by Captainmike it got me thinking.

CaptainMike made a great post and we all agreed this is a great place to hang out with super people.. I've been here since April 18'. This might have been brought up and for all I know it could have happened.

An AmazingRibs Convention. It's 1030 on a Friday night (not that the night matters when U R retired) but I've had a couple or more glasses of wine. The idea to have a place where Pitmaster ONLY members for 2 or 3 days could get together would be a dream come true. I know the logistics and costs can mitigate the reality of this happening. I am no expert in organization of something like this. It would be a major undertaking and you certainly need a strong turnout.
Just a thought/dream. Maybe when Meathead and Huskee get back from vacation they can think about it (or not).

Please chime in. One way or the other, my feelings won't be hurt.

We did hold a meat-up in February 2017 in the Bahamas. Meathead is thinking about how to get another meat-up going, continental US, like Memphis , but it's really hard to break even. The cost is so prohibitive. On Meathead's last PitCast from a few weeks ago he talked about this in some detail. Check it out! but yes, we want to make it happen again, soon.

It need not be something put on by AR, members can host their own regional events. I don’t remember all the parties involved, or exactly where, (I’m lucky to remember what I had for dinner!) but a few members met at a campground for a weekend a couple of years ago with a good time had by all.

We are having mock meet up at the Minnesota Spring Training this year. Meathead is the key note speaker!

Though not a Amazingribs.com event, we should have a pretty good turn out from our AR Minnesota members. We would love to have as many AR folks as possible! I know we already have some signed up. I went to this event a couple of years ago, and it was a blast! Me and Skip ate enough BBQ to feed a small country!

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

        the good one grill
The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

Griddle And Deep Fryer In One

        Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker
The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all!

The Pit Barrel Cooker May Be Too Easy

        Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker
The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It is absolutely positively without a doubt the best bargain on a smoker in the world. Period. This baby will cook circles around the cheap offset sideways barrel smokers because temperature control is so much easier.
