Thanks, it's Jim not Jeff, but I get that a lot for some reason here in the Pit. Today has not been too bad a of a first day back at work. I work from a home office, and the desktop screens are at a good level to not strain my neck in the collar. I had to have my wife drive me out to two sub contractors today, to pick up parts, and of course I spent of lot of time inside each one explaining what happened before I got my parts and moved on. She had to come in and carry stuff for me (weight limit is 5 pounds at the moment).

All in all I am pretty comfortable doing documentation at the moment, while I take oxycodone and valium a couple of times a day. I dread when therapy starts on Thursday! I'll be crying myself to sleep that night most likely!

Man, be careful with that oxy. My brother was a recovering heroin addict and when he was dying of cancer he was given oxy for palliative care. He tried it once and it scared him so bad that he never tried it again. Interestingly, when he passed we had to dispose of about 30 boxes of the stuff. It was a little nerve-wracking to have that much in my possession. "Really Officer, it's my brother's stuff!!" Glad to read you're moving around and making it work.

I'm going to echo CaptainMike. Please be careful with that Oxy. I have chronic arthritis and have been on Ibroprofin 800MG for years. A former Doctor offered to perscribe Oxy, I thought about it. Looking at my past tendancies I said no. My teens were in in the late 60's and 70's. I did everything, and was/are susceptable. If you have a past, think twice. If you don't have a past, don't create one. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I am glad that your recovery seems to be progressing well. Just follow your doctor's orders and at least pretend to follow your wife's orders.

Thanks guys. I’ll be off the painkillers in a few days and don’t plan any refills. I’ve never had surgery since tonsil and adenoids removal in the 3rd grade, and back then you stayed in the hospital for 3-4 days even for that. I remember them promising all the ice cream I wanted, and after the procedure you don’t want to swallow anything, haha. I’m eating ice cream now to make up for it.

If you have a Weber Kettle, you need the Slow 'N' Sear

          slow n sear
The Slow 'N' Sear turns your grill into a first class smoker and also creates an extremely hot sear zone you can use to create steakhouse steaks.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

          the good one grill
The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

Griddle And Deep Fryer In One

          Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker
The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all!

The Pit Barrel Cooker May Be Too Easy

          Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker
The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It is absolutely positively without a doubt the best bargain on a smoker in the world. Period. This baby will cook circles around the cheap offset sideways barrel smokers because temperature control is so much easier.

          The Undisputed Champion!

          thermapen
The Thermoworks Thermapen MK4 is considered by the pros, and our team, to be the single best instant read thermometer. The MK4 includes features that are common on high-end instruments: automatic backlight and rotating display. Don't accept cheap substitutes.

Grilla Pellet Smoker proves good things come in small packages

          Grilla pellet smoker
We always liked Grilla. The small 31.5" x 29.5" footprint makes it ideal for use where BBQ space is limited, as on a condo patio.

The PK-360, with 360 square inches of cooking space, this rust free, cast aluminum charcoal grill is durable and easy to use. Four-way venting means it's easy to set up for two zone cooking with more control than single vent Kamado grills.
