    EUCLID, OH—Placing his right palm against the glass of the sliding back door as he softly whispered reassurances to the device, local father Paul Chesney, 48, spent nearly an hour Tuesday gazing longingly at the covered grill in his backyard, family sources reported. “I know we haven’t spent any time together in the past few months, old friend, but just know that I haven’t forgotten you—not for a minute,” Chesney said in hushed tones to the three-burner propane grill, his breath steaming up the window that divided him from his beloved companion. “I promise you that I’ll be back soon. Just hold on a little longer and I’ll get that cover off you, give your cooking grate a good brushing, and heat you right back up. It’ll be like we never parted, I swear.” At press time, a visibly emotional Chesney told his wife to give him “a few more minutes” after she called him into the dining room for dinner.

      What's utterly crazy about this weather lately is the temps are supposed to be in the upper 30s to mid 40s for the weekend through Monday with rain possible. And then back into the deep freeze again Monday night. Talk about schizophrenic weather.

            The high today was 74, five degrees above normal! Oh no! The high Sunday is supposed to be only 64, It truly is a shame the way we have to suffer in Phoenix during the throes of winter, LOL! But don't get me started about trying to grill when it is 110 out at 9:00 at night in July or August.

            Seriously folks, stay safe in all that extremely cold weather. I used to live in North Dakota (10 years) and recognize it can be brutal at times.

              About a year ago I cooked in -0 temps. Flu/head cold/sinus infection this year, not feelin' it. And I even have a new cooker to learn. Soon, I hope.

                Tuesday was the hottest day on record here 38c with heat index of 44c. 1000's with power blackouts in Buenos Aires. Cooled off today and will be a high of 27c luckily. I had a pit on the back of my truck reading 130f in the sun.

                Expected minus 31 in Madison, WI last night. We caught a break. It bottomed out at minus 25. Vortex is over today and supposed to be 40 by Saturday. That is one big swing in temperature. Regardless, this weekend is cooking time !

                  Well I'm proud of all you Yankees who carry on regardless, it takes stamina and mental fortitude.

                  Now I won't bother to rub in the fact that our forecast for next week is in the mid to high 70's, it may actually hit 80* in February !!! I know, you're going to say "but you guys have to suffer through the heat and humidity". And to that I say, "sure but I can still bbq and that's why they invented AC, shorts and swimming pools !!".

                  Well that just makes me want to break into song, this time of the year is what I like about the south ..... Peace !!!
