    An exciting afternoon.

    Starting about 2:30 this afternoon we had a number of tornado warnings, and at least 4 touch down in the area. They were spin-offs, (pun intended), from Hurricane Florence. One touched down about a mile from us, and one touched down 10 min from us. I have been in that area hundreds if not thousands of times over the last 35 years and recognized all of the locations they showed. Some of the videos made the national news on NBC tonight.

    I am sorry to report there was one fatality at a business that had major damage.

                          Thanx again to all. There were 14 tornado warnings yesterday. At least 4 touched down, and officials will investigate to confirm that number. When the rotating air does not touch the ground, it called a funnel cloud, and there were a number of videos of that happening shown on tv.
