    Another One Bites the Dust

One of my best buddies, Boy, went to the Rainbow Bridge. First dog I've ever had to put down. He got an abdominal tumor that came on and took him out within a month. He was only 11, which is young for a Dutch Shepherd to go out. As hard as it is I know he's comfortable and in a happy place...eating all the table scraps we never let him eat.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

So sorry for your loss. Been through 3 and we have the Rainbow Bridge words close by. Our 14 year old rescue is getting close to the bridge. It will be 4 and at 66 our last.

Ahh my friend. I am so sorry. Just shed a tear reading this. I know what you’re going through. My wife and I had to lay our beloved Rambo to rest the end of December. But that wasn’t the first.
It’s probably the hardest thing we have to do.
      I hope he didn’t suffer.
Our thoughts are with you and your family.
May peace be with you my brother.
I look forward to the rainbow bridge to be with my babies again.

My heart goes out to you Jake.
Sadness now, but rejoicing on that day when we all will once more meet again.

I miss my Sammy, incredibly sad when he went on my Birthday from cancer, and tumors.
Held him in my arms as he passed.
Brave, quiet, amazing is what he was, so I have suffered this same loss and am with you in spirit brother.
