I design woodturning tools and develop marketing plans for those and our line of USA made layout measuring and marking tools for furniture and cabinet making. When I'm not cooking, I am in my shop building something. Hope I can get back into some gardening at our new place, but it doesn't look good at the moment. Too much shade.

I was watching tv tonight and was reminded of Mark Twain’s quote, “There was never yet an uninteresting life. Such a thing is an impossibility.”
We have had so many new members here the past several months I thought this thread needed a bump. I have met some of the most interesting people here, and I know we have added plenty more.

Started this tasty craziness in 2018.
Using a Traeger Silverton pellet smoker.
Home is the Seattle area...
So much to learn, but it’s a helluva fun education!
Just discovered this thread - talk about diversity!
For me, computer geek. 6-years on submarines (sonar), my own computer software/consulting business, tired of wearing too many hats, worked at Seattle-based software companies as IT engineer, then project manager. Retired from MS managing teams supporting cloud data center server deployments.
Hobbies include my lovely wife, photography, wine, travel, gaming. I work PT at local winery, DeLille Cellars. Just staring to learn video editing with Davinci Resolve.
Oh yea, and that new obsession, smokin’!

I work in the e-marketing department for Fanatics.com, a very large online retailer in the licensed sports merchandise industry. Been in the e-marketing industry for the past 21 years and with this company for 5. Love that my job is talking about sports all day. And since I work from home I can easily keep track of the meat on the smoker.

I’m retired now. I’ve spent my entire career in business’s related to oil and gas. Right out of college Haliburton, then Dowell, cement, frac and such. The last 20 years were in the NDT, nondestructive testing, business. I was amazed that you could x-ray through 2 inches of steel if you used the right radioactive source. I started out in management then went to sales. Taking people to lunch and dinner, on an expense account, is an incredible job.
Fishing, anything that fights hard. Love striper and big cat fishing. I’m an HSM, that’s a home shop machinist. My dad was a machinist. I never thought much about it until I realized I could build my own guns! The lathe and mill are in storage right now. I’ll be building them a new home in the spring. I don’t hunt much anymore, just go collect a few feral hogs from time to time now. They are great on the smoker. Then there’s metal detecting, I’ve been at that for over 30 years. Believe it or not but you can find some amazing things. I love outdoor cooking and I’m getting better at it. Every time someone ask a question here I learn something.
