Thank you Strat. Did that in my Lodge cast iron skillet. Skipped the edge decor for the ragged home look. LOL.

I do mine in cast iron as well and there is nothing better. For a change of pace, I also do quiches with a hash brown crust. Cook the browns first till lightly brown by tossing in the pan(I use my carbon steel wok at medium heat for this), pack into a greased cast iron skillet.Place you're filling ingredients, then your egg mixture/cheese, etc. Slam into a 400 degree oven for about 30 minutes. ½ the fat, a ton of flavor.

I had to skip the hollandaise because of a salt problem this morning -- but these were sure good anyway... beverage = white russian though! Yeah that is prime rib! LOL

Looks good, food and the drink. I got home last night and the PBC was still hot somehow so I threw on a couple sausage rolls with maple syrup and brown sugar. Croissants, eggs, and smoked rolls of sausage. Didn't even think to take pictures.

I could use some scotch though, 6 girls under 10 opening presents this morning...the 4 over 10 weren't much better!

Yikes. I had 4 kids screaming at 4 a.m., good think I drank my Tylenol Cold at 8 p.m. The 3 older ones were more subdued.

We kept ours up until almost 11 (had another family staying as well) so they didn't get up until 7:30. Unfortunately we didn't finish all the wrapping and placing until 230.

No kidding. To both of you: yes, I want a piece, and yes, Ernest must be a food stylist/photographer

I just wonder how long it takes him to get the food all pretty up before taking a pic?

You'd be surprised. Most of them are afterthoughts.
Take the cheesecake for example, I just took a spoon of caramel sauce and went "drizzle from left to right" a few times. LOL! Nothing to it

Ernest, starting to wonder if you are a wax food modeler. Your stuff just looks too good.
