Everyone I cook for thinks it's HardWOOD briquettes. And the future is NOW!

I saw that video a while back, and unlike Franklin, I want to put on pants when I get up in the morning.....

Jerod you are such a super pitmaster you could make Brisket taste good, if you were using cow turds for fuel!

Sorry, you have me confused with Ernest and Henrik. Them cooks cook crap from solidified plasma particles.....

The thing is, cooking indirectly you are trying to IMPART flavor onto the meat. When cooking directly over the coals, like in the PBC, you are saturating the surface with pure BBQ goodness as a result of "drippage ignition."

I cook with 100% wood all the time. Just cooked an 8 lb pork butt for 17 hours on oak and apple wood. Can I be a member of this club?

Yeah what makes wood wood is removed in the charcoaling process (should be anyway). It's all good though. But, wood is best just ask me & DWC!

I don't doubt it was mighty tasty Dave. I wish you'd move up to MI already.
