Weather Channel sells fear. They blow up everytime they see a front moving in somewhere. I can't stand those guys. Its shame because the used to be a pretty reputable scientific weather station. Now they are just a Weather tabloid of sorts. Try NOAA they have a much better grasp of what is really going on.

I still enjoy them, their cast is great and some of the gals are easy to look at. I find the show informative, but I am a weather geek. I have learned in the medical industry you have to sensationalize to a degree to get through to stupid people that they need to act. If you simply state facts, the dumb ones will die because they just don' get it. Hence the massive warnings whenever something dangerous is brewing. If they downplayed it, and it turned out to be big, there'd be deaths and maybe lawsuits. "You're the Weather Channel, you couldn't see this coming?? That sort of thing.

          • We have two weber kettle grills (one LARGE and one small/average), the SnS and the Weber Smokey Mountain 18" smoker. We use both natural lump charcoal and KNB for smoking and measure our temps with a Maverick 733, thermopen and MK4. Favorite beer depends on what is cooking (alt answer is yes).

Actually I think this is normal temp for this time of year. The past few winters have been exceptionally cold. Last winter made me feel my age.

I dont know why I assume VA would be warmer. It should be thats for sure.
