In the spirit of fzxdoc (literally right after) my vac sealer went out. Then my SV died, Then in the spirit of Spinaker my IPhone died. New IPhone in hand, new SV and now new vac sealer. This arrived today and makes me very happy today. So does the Pinot Grigio.
(I scrubbed down the plancha last night so don't look at my fingers)

Nothing like new toys to brighten the day. I'm trying to wrestle my own case of MCS down to the mat as we speak. (I need no more thermometers.).
Plus we ladies suffer from an equally severe syndrome, MSS. I ordered 4 pairs of shoes last week.

Hope everything works as expected, HouseHomey. You must have had a poltergeist loose in the house for all of those things to croak at once.

RonB & Mr. Bones have astutely identified the action take by the Honorable HouseHomey. It is from here on described as NER, Necessary Equipment Relacement. MCS is an affliction of something desired that is turned into a need psychologically. It is very pleasing as we all know.
What HouseHomey did was of an absolute, real need, cuz ya gotta have that stuff. Long live MCS. NER is a way of life.
