Troutman I tried to attend UT. I sent in my application way in front of the deadline stated on the application. I received an response that I had missed the deadline?? Figured it was their way of blowing off native Texans that didn't make the cut so held a grudge (Turns out the school of Radio,TV &film had really gotten hot and they had moved up the deadline because of all the applications.) So I went to SMU instead. But Tech hates A&M and UT so so do I lol. What I find really interesting is Tech considers (at least when they were in the same conference) UT and A&M their main ravels! only problem (I found out from people I know that attended both schools) A&M considers UT as their main rival UT does not they consider OU their main rival further more neither team considers Tech as any kind of problem. The world of College sports lol

That's why I love it so....never and dull moment !! NFL is getting so predictable, you can practically sit there and call the plays from your recliner. Same half dozen teams are always in the play-offs while the rest get muddled in obscurity, sighing the "next year" we'll be better. You can tell I'm a disgruntled ex-Houston Oiler current Texan fan...ugh.

My wife is a UT grad and has said that for years, aTm was always thought of the little brother who was mad they didnt get their way, and OU is just a bunch of upstarts who never learned how to act correctly. As for Tech, they were never really relevant except for a few years. But you gotta love them for facing the horse statue with his rear directed at aTm.... HAHAHAH

Don't get me started on Notre Dame. As a former Chicagoan and University of Illinois grad I had to endure years of listening to my ND buddies about anything Irish until I was ready to puke. Having said that; however, you may want to consider some ND football stats, pretty impressive indeed;
Distinctions- As of 2016, Notre Dame has the second highest winning percentage in NCAA Division I-A (FBS) history (.733)(minimum 100+ years playing football).[599]
- As of 2014, Notre Dame has produced the most players drafted into the National Football League of any program in the country. As of the 2015 NFL draft, 487 players have been drafted.[600]
- As of 2014, Notre Dame is second in wins among Division I-A/FBS programs (874), trailing Michigan (910).[601]
- As of 2014, Notre Dame has the fewest losses of any NCAA Division I program (304) that has been playing football for 100+ years.[602]
- As of 2014, Notre Dame has 106 winning seasons in 126 years of football, and only 13 losing seasons.[603]
- The football program has the most individual Heisman Trophy winners at seven (Ohio State has seven Heisman Trophies that were won by six players).
- As of 2014, Notre Dame has produced more 1st Team All-Americans (188), consensus All-Americans (81 players on 97 selections) and unanimous All-Americans (33) in football than any other college program.[4][604]
- Notre Dame is represented by 48 players and coaches in the College Football Hall of Fame, the most of any university.[605][606]
- 12 former players are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, tied with USC.
- Helped by its status as a highly regarded academic institution (ranked 19th by U.S. News & World Report),[607] Notre Dame is second only to Nebraska in Academic All-Americans (43).
- Since 1962, Notre Dame has graduated 98.74% of its football players in four years. As of 2006, only 13 football players in this time have left Notre Dame without finishing their degree requirements. Also of note is the 90% graduation rate of ND's African American players (only Navy and Boston College have higher African American graduation rates).[608]
- Notre Dame holds the NCAA record for Most consecutive wins over one opponent, beating the US Naval Academy (USNA) 43 times in a row before falling to them in 2007.[609]
- The football program is also known for ending the Oklahoma Sooners' NCAA record winning streak of 47 games in 1957. Coincidentally, Oklahoma's 28–21 loss to Notre Dame to open the 1953 season was the last loss before the beginning of the streak.[610]
- Notre Dame has had 13 undefeated seasons and 11 others with at most one loss or tie.
- Notre Dame is 3–3–1 in games where the national title winners from the previous two years have met in a regular season game. There have only been 13 of these games played in college football history. Notre Dame has played in 7 of the 13 games:
- 1945 – Army def. Notre Dame 48–0
- 1947 – Notre Dame def. Army 27–7
- 1968 – Notre Dame tie USC 21–21
- 1974 – USC def. Notre Dame 55–24
- 1978 – Notre Dame def. Pitt 26–17
- 1989 – Miami def. Notre Dame 27–10
- 1990 – Notre Dame def. Miami 29–20
- Notre Dame is one of only three out of the current 124 Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division I-A) teams to have never played a Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA) team since the divisions were created in 1978. The other two are UCLA and USC.[611]
- Notre Dame is one of only two Catholic universities that field a team in the Football Bowl Subdivision, the other being Boston College.

So, what you're saying is that their fans in Chicago are annoying and they're one NCAAF version of the Yankees/Duke/Celtics/Canadiens, and we're right to hate. Thanks.

My wife we to and graduated from The university Of Texas (at Austin) so naturally Longhorn fans. We have had season tickets for 18 years and have only missed 5 home games. I went to the illustrious College of Hard Knocks so I tend to route for those playing aTm, sooners, and anyone else in the way of Texas.
