The "winner" decision maybe harder than you thought Jlock based the first two entries 😀!

Your thoughtfulness and generosity shows again just how great the Pit community is!

Just re-read the contest rules and saw that it will be a random drawing. Decision just got easier! ☺

Actually, it's easier than you think, at least so far. My entry is really a non-entry as I am on borrowed time as it is. My free trial expired last week and I have a 14 day grace period before I am locked out, which the red banner at the top of the page is warning me I'm down to 11. Not to mention two emails from Huskee kindly reminding me of that fact. Hopefully with a couple of entries in now it will provide inspiration for others. Then we can watch Jlock `s attorneys pull each others hair out trying to decide!

I held out as long as I could, I had two days left according to the banner at the top of the page, but tonight they drew the line. I was nervous I was going to be lost forever, but I was directed to a page to give up the CC. I see my status is now 'Trial Membership Expired', but I'm not locked out! Well anyway, thanks for the dream. I guess all I have to do now is wait for Publishers Clearing House to come knocking!!

Congratulations to purp . How bad is my luck? Yesterday my backhoe blew a line, so today I took it off and to a hydraulic shop to get a new one made up. Got it home and installed one end, went to hook up the other end and he had installed the wrong size fitting. So out it comes
and another trip to town tomorrow.

Mudkat Afraid not. I'm setting brace posts for 6.5 foot high tensile field fence, 12 foot posts that have to be sunk 5 feet. Most of my property is sandy loam, so I can use my Danuser Hammer to put them in. But one section was filled with river rock and has to be dug.

Thanks, ComfortablyNumb ... and sorry to hear about the blowout. Got to string a bit of fence on the farm as a teen, and maintain a good bit more to keep the livestock out of the crops. Good times.

Jlock Wow, thanks a bunch! Super kind of you, and very much appreciated.

I'll have pics up of this weekend's rib run later this week. Took 4th (5th really ... two way tie for 2nd) in a field of nine, but I learned a ton on the road to making an entry, and another ton watching the competition judging. One of the judges was KC BBQ School trained and gave me *excellent* notes, so I've got some work to do. =]

Thanks again, and happy to be here!

If you have a Weber Kettle, you need the Slow 'N' Sear

                  slow n sear
The Slow 'N' Sear turns your grill into a first class smoker and also creates an extremely hot sear zone you can use to create steakhouse steaks.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

                  the good one grill
The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

Griddle And Deep Fryer In One

                  Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker
The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all!

The Pit Barrel Cooker May Be Too Easy

                  Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker
The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It is absolutely positively without a doubt the best bargain on a smoker in the world. Period. This baby will cook circles around the cheap offset sideways barrel smokers because temperature control is so much easier.

The Thermoworks Thermapen MK4 is considered by the pros, and our team, to be the single best instant read thermometer. The MK4 includes features that are common on high-end instruments: automatic backlight and rotating display. Don't accept cheap substitutes.

Grilla Pellet Smoker proves good things come in small packages

                  Grilla pellet smoker
We always liked Grilla. The small 31.5" x 29.5" footprint makes it ideal for use where BBQ space is limited, as on a condo patio.
