That intro reminds me of a story. Charlie Watts was in bed when Jagger calls and says, "Where's my drummer?" Watts shaves, puts on a suit, goes downstairs and punches the drunken Jagger and says, "Don't ever call me your drummer again. You're my f***ing singer."

IIRC, Spinaker posted these guys earlier in the thread. I hope the station pays these guys, it livens the place up. I would have liked them at a BART station when I lived in the Bay Area.

For some reason I never discovered this thread until today - and spent about an hour listening to tunes when I should have been working. Now so I can get back to work, here's my contribution, with a little backstory why this is on my mind.

This was recorded over a decade before I was born. But in the early 90s I had been living overseas and when I came back to the States had a tough time adjusting. In that phase I rejected all modern music and went deep in old folk, blues, and gospel - like Robert Johnson, the Carter Family, Woody Guthrie, and especially traditional gospel. Even though I've now returned to the modern world, I still have all that stuff ripped to my phone. The song I linked here happened to pop up in the mix while riding in the car the other day. Much to my amazement, my teenage son said, "Hey, that's some good music." How about that?

I just love how this builds the energy level - when you think it's hit the top, it goes way above that.

I have to admit, I'm impressed with the guitarist, how he spins that tail and plays without getting dizzy and falling over. However my favourite part is when the singer take a drink out of fuel can.

            Well, ComfortablyNumb asked for it...

Here's my favorite boy band - The Blind Boys of Alabama. Realize that this group started performing together in 1939 and 2 of the original members are still performing with the group in 2018 (1 regularly and 1 health permitting).

Love Jessica. It's sad to know that we'll never get to see this band again. So get out there people and see your favorites/bucket lists etc before they're gone!

Sadly, today is the 2nd anniversary of Prince's passing so I've been blasting his music all day as he is my all-time favorite.
