This is great! I Googled and there is a documentary about them I hope I can find. It's billed as two young American musicians travel to France with little expectations, start off as buskers and become 'the world's greatest party band.'

These guys were one of my "concert" going primos. The Newport "something" Festival (I think it was "Jazz"), 1969. About a month before Woodstock. They were delayed, and started playing at 2am, by which which time the acid had kicked in very well. Played until 6. Me, sitting around a campfire in the state park with some folks. Good times. Like hanging around the pit! Lots of pretty hippie girls around too!
