Here’s a great song you might not have heard before. I first heard this on Tom Petty’s Buried Treasures show, a few years ago. The Shadows of Knight.

Country, overalls, brogan shoes, and not getting a haircut...I guess I'm a tramp.

Although, truth be told, I wear my Alaskan sneakers more than I do my brogans.

One of my favorite Aerosmith songs. It’s from their 2004 album Honkin’ On Bobo. This one really rocks, the whole album is excellent! “You Gotta Move”

      👍👍👍 💪

If you even “remotely” like guitar jamming at its best, this is a must watch video! Folks, I give you Leslie West of Mountain, Alvin Lee of Ten Years After, Stewart Copeland from The Police on drums and Steve Howe of Yes, among others. This is a real jam fest. “Whole Lotta Shaking Going On”. Can you believe Alvin Lee and Leslie West are NOT in the RRHOF! Another example of what a joke they are.

One day we went to Santa Rosa, CA and spent the night at the Hotel La Rose. We had no idea The Guess Who was playing in a small club near the hotel. What a treat!

With the drum, stand up bass, and electric guitar it reminds me of the Reverend Horton Heat, but much, much more laid back!

Another 'Wow!' I've not listened to much country (in spite of my Okanogan SIL taking over the sonos/apple speakers when they're at our house.) He has a great voice, and I confess that I hadn't realized the commonality of country and jazz. Play a melody, then riff on it. He is talented!! Thanks for turning this city boy onto Volkaert and Kirchen.

I was listening to Metallica on YouTube today at work with the window minimized. All of a sudden this started playing.

Threw me off. Quite different. Looks like they are metalheads. They have covers of Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Black Sabbath and many others.

I got that CD when it came out. Saw JLH a couple of times live.

Death of Dusty Hill of ZZ Top is a blow. Been listening to Billy Gibbons stuff of late, he keeps the ZZ sound alive. Here are a couple from the Big Bad Blues album.

I’ve come across them while tubing also. I posted their song Country Come to Town back on post 841. They have a great sound.
