I dedicate this to smoke ring lovers

This smoke ring developed by the PBC without any additional wood. Just Ozark oak lump charcoal.

Nice, and since smoke particles have nothing to do with the "smoke" ring, which should be called a "gas ring," I believe you totally.

You are one short rib cooking son-of-a-gun!!!

I also think that since rib bones soak up heat, you can get a more pronounced ring in ribs since once the meat hits 170, it can no longer be fixed to that pink color.

Wow that is amazing. I recommend the PBC to all of my friends who say they want to learn to smoke meat but don't want to spend a ton of cash.

                        Great work.

I keep trying to think of something to write, but all I can come up with is this: doesn't everyone get smoke rings like that? (Seriously, this is not a smart-ass remark.)

They probably do. The other point here is that wood chunks were not used so smoke ring got nothing to do with how much smoke was involved.

Moral of the story is ..... get a PBC, LOL!!

boftx, I don't think you are being a smart ass but Huskee has a point. Photography is a hobby of mine and I can tell you that great pictures, in terms of perspective and color especially, are not easy. If nothing else this picture does a great jog illustrating the smoke ring.

I'll need to find some old photos from when I ran JB Photographs and was a track photographer at Corona Raceway and Pearsonville Speedway back in the 80s. I can tell you that great pictures involve asking yourself "Why the @#%* am I still alive?!?" after you take them.

I'd love to see those! And I think that philosophy applies to a lot more than photography, I have a lot of stories that end in 'I should not be alive' and those are the times I really felt that I was living.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

                        the good one grill
The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

Griddle And Deep Fryer In One

                        Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker
The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all!

The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It is absolutely positively without a doubt the best bargain on a smoker in the world. Period. This baby will cook circles around the cheap offset sideways barrel smokers because temperature control is so much easier.
