    Batman movies?

I'm not big on following movies with several sequels and prequels, but I've meaning to get around to seeing the Batman movies. If you're familiar with them, in which order should I try to watch them or does that not matter? I've seen the 80s-90s one with Jack Nicholson as the joker. And I've seen Batman Begins several years ago.

Second question- is there much point to watching them in any specific order, other than story continuity? In other words, will I be lost if I just randomly pick one, or are they each fairly stand-alone?

The first one you must watch is, of course, Batman.

      They sort of stand alone.

All kidding aside, the pre-Christain Bale Batmans are one group - somewhat campy though not as much as Adam West's (I thought Jim Carrey was a most excellent Riddler and was very disappointed that Billy de Williams didn't play two face). The Christian Bale ones are much more Dark Knight. I also liked that they worked in Ra's al Ghul.

The Christian Bale ones should be viewed in sequence. The Keaton-Kilmer-Clooney ones are all one offs, though the first Keaton one makes sense as a first one.

What Potkettleblack said. I'm much more a fan of the Christian Bale films than the earlier versions, they seem more true to the Batman ethos.
