    Some thoughts:

    1. Make sure the hat can be collapsed, folded up, and/or easily shipped. Sombreros can be fun but not something you want to have to ship. Lots of cloth, foam, knit, and other types of hats out there for this.

    2. Maybe we need to get more than one hat going... Same kind of hat but multiple ones depending on how many sign up.

    3. Instead of a regular funny hat you could do something like one of those white chef's hat and folks could use a sharpie to sign the hat or something like that. Or something along those lines...

Nate had a great idea of getting something we can sign to mark the travels. I've ordered a plain white chef's hat. Each recipient should sign and date the hat with the location (conserve space since this sucker will get full fast!), take and post a pic, then send to the next lucky victim.

I'll start it off this coming Friday. Who's next?

Don't thank just us. This is gonna be a CLUB effort! Can't wait to see where all this hat ends up.

I think we may need more than one hat since a lot of folks are mentioning birthdays that are too close together for standard shipping methods.

Anyone else want to get a hat and get things started? May even make a competition out of it. See which hat gets the most signatures.

carolts any chance you can find the hat on Amazon?

Pit Boss, since you already wear a cowboy hat, what do you think about me mailing you this apron and you send it around as the second "hat". Put a signature on it. If that sounds good, let me know how to get it to you. With the Holiday mail schedule and your mid-January birthday it should make it in time.

carolts, hahahaha - sorry, not very good at selfies. I know it looks goofy and my daughter's light in the background makes it a mess. My mom gave the apron to me years ago for a photo laugh and she gave me that turkey hat this year for the same thing!

Though very cool I'm partial to the idea of a hat as I want folks to update their profile photos with it. The hat would work better for that than the apron.
