    You should ALL be ashamed!

I joined this support group of cooking crazies hoping to get a little knowledge to add to my own cooking repertoire. My experience so far has more than met my expectations! Thank you for that!

However... After sitting down after work to look up some ideas real quick on rubs and sauces, I realized (2 hours later) I got sidetracked into breads, pizza dough, jerky, grill gadgets, useful videos, and more useful stuff than I can mention! So, I'm taking the time to write this post and get back on track; rubs and sauces or bust!

Shame on you all for being so informative!

    ...and thanks again!

I know I make damn good BBQ cause my 3 dogs have NEVER said no to it. (OTOH, my 13yr old says no to just about everything, except my ribs.)

I cannot confirm or deny that there is beer in that can or if in fact it is me or my son, or grandson, or one of their friends, or someone else. Wait, it's someone but... I may have said too much already.

Steve B. My original post was entirely sarcasm. I thought the thank you (twice) would indicate that. I am very happy with all the great tips and learning about the science of smoking and grilling, and the members have been more than friendly and supportive. I'm glad to be part of the crowd!

If you're using a tablet just wait until you go to bed at say 11:00 and decide to do one last look at today's posts. One post leads you here, another one leads you there and before you know it it's two in the morning. It's happened to me more times than I can count.

Better yet, sooner or later you'll wake up in the morning to find your tablet face down on your stomach and you're still logged in to AmazingRibs.com. That's also happened to me a time or two. That's when you realize that you've got it bad.

Some companies pay a finder's fee if a reader clicks a link on AmazingRibs.com and buys a product. If you have a Weber Kettle, you need the Slow 'N' Sear

                    slow n sear
The Slow 'N' Sear turns your grill into a first class smoker and also creates an extremely hot sear zone you can use to create steakhouse steaks.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

                    the good one grill
The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

Griddle And Deep Fryer In One

                    Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker
The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all!

The Pit Barrel Cooker May Be Too Easy

                    Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker
The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It is absolutely positively without a doubt the best bargain on a smoker in the world. Period. This baby will cook circles around the cheap offset sideways barrel smokers because temperature control is so much easier.

                    The Undisputed Champion!

                    thermapen
The Thermoworks Thermapen MK4 is considered by the pros, and our team, to be the single best instant read thermometer. The MK4 includes features that are common on high-end instruments: automatic backlight and rotating display. Don't accept cheap substitutes.

Grilla Pellet Smoker proves good things come in small packages

                    Grilla pellet smoker
We always liked Grilla. The small 31.5" x 29.5" footprint makes it ideal for use where BBQ space is limited, as on a condo patio.
