    Bowhunting pictures.....Updated 11/20....deer number 3...

Nice day to be in the woods. Just a little 8-10 year old Olympus digital camera. I was able to get 25+ feet up this afternoon. Was only 15 feet up this morning for the deer harvest.

Ran into a little friend on the way out....

Thanks, he seemed to be chillin'....as much as cold-blooded animals can. I like that line off Sneakers with Robert Redford.

"You should have that guy checked for rabies." "Rabies only occurs in warm-blooded animals."

Did you know they found that snakes are harboring diseases such as Eastern Equine Encephalitis over the winter?

I don't see a PBC in your sig, wut up wit dat??

Nice Jerod, interesting shots. Why I live in Michigan--- we have nice snakes.
Is that a whisker biscuit arrow rest?

            haha at John.

Yeh, I had a drop away, and then they came out the with the different colored biscuits. Had to get one in orange.

Plus the containment is soooo nice. And you don't have to mess with any extra chords hanging off your rest.

With the limb driven rests they have, I don't need a bow press to set one up anyway, which is nice should I go back to that.

I have one of those too, they're very nice. Although I haven't bow hunted in years, running out of property.... I could at my house even though I only have little property it's woodsy and deer come within bow range of my house.
My in laws used to own 92 acres that i would rifle hunt, but my father in law died a few year sback and my mother in law just sold the farm and moved into a condo to simplify her situation.... so there goes my hunting land.. [sad face]

Oh well, I like beef better than venison anyway and I'm not ashamed to admit it. It's much easier to go to the grocery store and fill the cart up that it is to hunt, track, gut, skin, process, wrap, freeze, thaw, cook. I sound like a city person with that statement but I promise I'm not. I just like fishing more than hunting lately... Went today, caught two pike. 78* and sunny, picture perfect day on the lake.

Jerod gets up into treestand platform....pulls bow up with rope... then pulls PBC up.

Love it! I think he also baits the deer with some corn that is being slow cooked on a PBC below his stand.

I couldn't cook, public land....plus dad had the deer cart near his spot.

Pretty ironic I shot the deer in the brisket..
