    I'm 100% with you Willy on everything you listed. Including the Americanized Chinese Buffets, I don't care if it's authentic or full of MSG it's tasty stuff. Mexican too, authentic or Taco Bell, both tasty stuff for me.

    Steaks obviously, hot wings, and pizza.

    I might add my wife & I LOVE sushi, both the raw fish kind and the cooked rolls. I think there are few things in life fresher and healthier than good sushi rolls.

      OOhhh, yeah! Wings, too! I do enjoy sushi/sashimi, but we don't do it very often. Not sure why. Fer shure we're on the same page with Chinese buffets.

      Interesting. I have a very picky pallet, so I might just have to hide the chopsticks, pretend I accidentally swallowed them, drive myself to the "hospital."

      @Jerod Brousard Trust me (cuz I am older than you by 25-ish years). You DO NOT have a "very picky palate"; you have ingrained prejudices against certain foods. I mean zero offense here, but when I was younger, I too "knew" some foods were awful and unworthy of being tried. I hated greens (based on having been fed canned spinach once when I was about five years old). After travelling to Huntsville, AL for business many times, I finally opted to try turnip greens at a "meat and three". OMG!!!! I now think that a well cooked pot of collards is heaven on earth. Ditto with my childhood experience with canned asparagus vs fresh asparagus. We grill asparagus regularly. Oysters--I screwed up the courage to try them raw in Dothan, AL and I LOVED them. BBQ oysters on the grill are even better! I still hate calf liver (even with tons of onion and bacon grease), but, fois gras is to die for. Seriously, try to move past your "hang-ups". Rare tuna is an excellent way to break through your preconceived ideas--your palate will LOVE you for it. I promise!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try at least one bite from someone else's plate next chance you get.

    I remember my first piece of rare tuna. I was on a business trip and went to Chart House (I was lucky to be travelling with a company VP else wise I wouldn't have chosen an expensive place like that). I saw the tuna, hadn't ever had it, so I ordered it. The waiter asked how I wanted it cooked (rare, etc.). I left the decision to him. It came back like the photo above and it was a REVELATION!!! Probably a turning point in my eating career.

          Crawfish. Mud Bugs. Hot 'n spicy and I really love adding a few sticks of butter to the boil, really sets the flavor off! Cloves of garlic, new potatoes, corn, sausage, mushrooms, and pearl onions.

          Seriously, the house could catch on fire and I'd be like, "Don't you dare bother me, can't you see I'm eating?!?!. I'll get to it later."

          Nom nom nom. Gettin' about that time, yay!

            Ernest A bit more seriously--veggies are included in many of the above choices--Asian food, Italian, Cajun, and BBQ. BBQ automatically includes stuff like slaw, beans, and greens, etc. I LOVE veggies and fruits on the grill. Pineapple, mango, asparagus, onions, peppers and chiles are favorites. Roasted red peppers are excellent.

              I'm fortunate that where I live we're not limited to Pizza Hut, Domino's, etc. There's about 20 different Ma and Pa pizzerias that all make their pizzas by hand. Current favorite is a stuffed crust that has more cheese in it than anyone should eat in a year. It's not something you should eat everyday because.....well.....you'd probably die but once a month or so it's an amazing treat.
