A hefty dude that had a local sports radio show used to always close with “Remember, fat people are harder to kidnap”...Then he lost like 200 pounds and disappeared...at least from that station.

I really like those dinners, now. After so many years of having to stay silent because I was a kid and too young to make sense, it was a hoot when I came back from the army after 6 yrs overseas, told a couple of "jokes" at Thanksgiving and heard the gasps and chortles from the ladies and watch a couple of my uncles shoot whiskey out of their nose. They are gone now but I think a few of them died happy. I try and keep it low key here in the pit. I like it here and want to stay.

You know what, I posted this on my Facebook page, and someone wrote that they are actually used to keep things COLD. You fill the bottom with ice, and then put things like potato salad and coleslaw and such on top. which, when you think about it, that's a pretty good idea!

So, funny joke, but a really good idea!

        the good one grill
The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker.
